Reports: UR351546-UR3: Polyaromatic Metal Complexes: Pathways to Graphene Sandwiches

Stephanie Hurst, PhD, Northern Arizona University

Narrative Report In this final year of the grant, the investigators have made significant strides in accomplishing their objectives. A new synthesis methodology was rapidly developed from an initial idea by Prof. Hurst. Through new collaborations that have been enabled by this grant, the structural characteristics of a new family of phosphonium derivatives have been synthesized. This resulted in a recent publication for an undergraduate student (Samantha Kruse) and the PI (Prof. Stephanie Hurst). Other results are currently being written up for ongoing publication.
