The scientific breakthroughs our world needs in energy are made possible by a diverse group of scientists, researchers, and educators. At ACS PRF, we offer several grant programs to support the research community.
This ACS PRF grant program usually funds proposals from doctoral departments. The fundamental research proposed must be a new direction for the principal investigator. ND grants are for two years, for a total award of $100,000.
UR grants are exclusively for faculty in departments that do not offer a doctoral degree. The fundamental research proposed must include support for undergraduate students, and M.S. students may also be supported. UR grants are $65,000 over a three-year period.
DNI grants are intended for new faculty members in Ph.D-granting departments in the United States who are within the first three years of a regular appointment as an Assistant Professor or the equivalent. DNI grants are for $100,000 over a two-year period.
UNI grants are intended for new faculty members at primarily undergraduate institutions in the United States who are within the first three years of a regular appointment as an Assistant Professor or the equivalent. UNI grants are for $50,000 over a two-year period.
