46461-SE
XXI Dynamics of Molecular Collisions Meeting, July 2007, Santa Fe, NM

David W. Chandler, Sandia National Laboratory

The Dynamics of Molecular Collisions meeting was held on July 8 to July 13 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The meeting was chaired by Dr. David Chandler and Dr. Anne McCoy. There were 44 lectures on areas of gas phase chemistry and collision dynamics, photochemistry, biophysics, ultra-cold molecule production, ab initio theory of potential energy surfaces and theory of chemical reactions. A new award, the Dudley Herschbach award, was presented to Dr. Richard N. Zare and Dr. William Miller. The award was for excellence in the area of experimental and theoretical physical chemistry. This meeting is very international and the money obtained from the ACS via grant 46461-se was used to support these international speakers;
