ACS Outreach & Legislative Action

Communicating the value of chemistry, reaching out to our communities, and speaking for our science with legislators and other public policymakers is a big job. But with more than 161,000 voices supporting and representing us worldwide, ACS has clout that gets attention in the media, in our communities, and on Capitol Hill. Together, we are making a difference.

Advocating for chemistry

  • The ACS Legislative Action Network (LAN) uses cutting-edge, online tools to recruit, train, and motivate more than 17,000 ACS members to engage with their legislators at crucial points in the policymaking process.
