Chapters/Events/Alliances in China and Asia

Scientists outside the United States have formed International Chemical Sciences Chapters (ICSCs) to allow chemists within a geographic area to connect with one another, as well as ACS members around the world. International Chapters include:

ACS organizes and sponsors a variety of events and activities throughout Asia, including conferences, symposia and workshops to provide chemists with local opportunities for professional advancement.

ACS entered into two alliances that emphasize the shared interest that each society has in engaging the Chinese and U.S. chemical communities in collaborations, research, education, and meetings.

  • ACS and the Chinese Chemical Society (CCS) entered a three-year collaboration alliance characterized by mutual benefit, impact and a commitment to cooperation in service to chemical scientists, engineers and professionals.
  • ACS and the Federation of Asian Chemical Societies (FACS) alliance serves to strengthen the shared interest of each organization in engaging the Asian and U.S. chemical communities in collaborations, research, education, and meetings.
