International Registrants: Apply for Your Visa NOW

If you are planning to attend the 239th ACS National Meeting and are not a United States citizen, it is very important that you determine whether you need a visa to enter the country or if you qualify for the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). The program enables citizens of certain countries to travel to the US for tourism or business for 90 days or less without obtaining a visa. While the US Department of State has been making changes to improve the visa process, it could still take up to 4 or 5 months to obtain a visa. You should apply as far in advance as possible to avoid any issues. Learn more about the visa process and the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) at www.acs.org/international or the National Acadamies' visa information website.
