You may have heard Boston referred to as "The Walking City."  Walking, however is not the only way to get around Boston.  The city is easily accessible by air or train, and Boston offers several options to get around the city including the subway, buses, and taxis.

Download our Transportation Guide that contains important information about getting to and around Boston.

TRAVELING TO THE MEETING

It takes approximately 10-25 minutes to get to the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center or downtown hotels, depending on traffic.  Taking a taxicab to or from Logan will cost you between $17-30, depending on travel time and distance.

LOCAL TRANSPORTATION TO/FROM THE MEETING

Once you arrive in the city, there are many transportation options to get you to your hotel or meeting event in downtown Boston.

Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA). The Boston area’s public transportation system, referred to as the "T," connects Boston and its suburbs. The new Silver Line offers direct public transportation between Logan Airport, the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC), and downtown Boston. To travel to the convention center, take the Silver Line/Waterfront and exit via the World Trade Center station near the Seaport Hotel and BCEC. Many of our official ACS hotels are just steps away from other "T" stations and subway lines throughout the city. Stations can be identified by outdoor signs with a black T inside a white circle.
For more information, see the MBTA Web site at http://www.mbta.com or download the MBTA's Getting Around Boston guide (PDF).

Taxicabs. Taxi service is available from Logan airport to downtown Boston. You will pay the amount shown on the taxi’s meter plus any tolls and a $2.00 airport fee. For more information on taxicab rates, consult the City of Boston’s Web site.

Parking at Hotels. Daily parking can be extremely limited and expensive in downtown Boston. You should contact your hotel to investigate their daily parking policies and fees. Alternatively, you can leave your car at home and use the ACS shuttle service on Sunday through Thursday or public transportation.
