Sustainability

The 14th Annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference is THE premier meeting of the year for scientists, engineers and corporate leaders engaged in the business of sustainability.

Four years ago, the National Academy of Sciences brought together many of the country’s leading experts on sustainability. Their goal was to define research objectives that need to be met to ensure the chemical industry’s continuing transition to greener products and processes. Much progress has been made since the resulting report was issued in 2006, “Sustainability in the Chemical Industry: Grand Challenges and Research Needs.”

This year’s 14th Annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference spotlights many of those advances. Conference attendees have a choice of seven different tracks, all developed around the Grand Challenges.

  • Transforming Green Chemistry and Engineering
  • Lifecycle Analysis and Green Metrics
  • Toxicology: Environmental Fate and Effects
  • Renewable Energy Fuels and Feedstocks
  • Process Design and Optimization
  • Greenhouse Gas Management and Prevention
  • Integrative Education in Green Chemistry and Engineering
